I care not what Pro-Ject says, this thing NEEEEEEDssss an acrylic platter. The OEM platter is nothing to sneeze on but neither is it any thing to get worked up over. It is plebeian and whilst far from fugly, neither is the this platter the record spinning equivalent of the beautiful and talented Zola Taylor, aka, “the Dish of The Platters”.

It will look sooooo much better with a “disco acrilico” and looks matter! But I emailed them and Pro-Ject said that there would be none for that would be a “step down in playback quality”…Pffffffft!

Meh…I do NOT think one can hear a difference in platter materials unless it is so cheap it not only resonates cheapness but noise. Acrylic is sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet looking!

This platter is far from looking as cool as an acrylic one would.
