–YHT-F1500’s Sleek Components Designed to Complement Plasma and LCD Monitors–
INDIANAPOLIS—- Yamaha Electronics Corporation, the leader in digital audio and video technologies, will display the YHT-F1500 home theater in a box system at CEDIA 2004. The system’s 6.1-channel digital home theater receiver and progressive scan DVD player are two of the slimmest components around and geared toward the user who wants an elegant, space-saving complete home theater system to match the motif of plasma and LCD monitors.
The 6.1 channel receiver features Cinema DSP, Dolby Pro Logic II, Dolby Digital-EX, DTS-ES Discrete 6.1 and DTS neo:6, and is Dolby Pro Logic IIx compatible. The system has a 100Wx6 digital amplifier, Quad-Field CINEMA DSP, 28 surround programs, SILENT CINEMA and full compatibility with movie surround sound formats.
In addition, this slim yet elegant receiver has a convenient on-screen GUI for easy access to menus and adjustments via remote control.
Rated at 100W x 6 high discrete power (20Hz-50 kHz), the receiver is able to deliver sophisticated DSP processing enabled by the YSS-938, a 32-bit Floating-Point LSI that yields 28 DSP programs with 48 possible variations.
Cinema DSP is designed to bring out the full potential of movie sound formats, reproducing them the way directors and sound engineers intended them to be heard. And for listening to late-night multi-channel presentations in privacy, it uses Silent Cinema, which provides a 5.1 channel listening experience using a pair of ordinary two-channel headphones.
Other features include five A/V inputs, one A/V output, three optical and one coaxial inputs, front-panel A/V inputs, a composite monitor output and a phono input.
The YHT-F1500’s has an elegant, high-quality NTSC/PAL progressive scan DVD player which offers 54MHz/12-bit video DACs for high-resolution picture quality and an audio equalizer with 3D reverb for exceptional sound quality. This versatile DVD player can play back all DVD formats, VCDs, SVCDs, CDs, multi-session JPEGs and MP3s. It comes with an easy-to-use remote with advanced functionality for smooth DVD operation. It also includes S-Video, component and composite video outputs. Audio connections include a dual mixed 2-channel terminal and optical and coaxial digital audio outputs.
The YHT-F1500 is currently available and carries an MSRP of $999.95.
These YHT-F1500 can be seen during the CEDIA 2004 show at Yamaha’s booth (#424), Indianapolis Convention Center, beginning September 10.
