Winegard just announced their flagship HDTV indoor antenna called the FlatWave Amped. It is a new amplified version of its FlatWave over-the-air (OTA) indoor HDTV antenna. The new multi-directional amplified antenna draws in dual band (VHF/UHF) HDTV broadcast signals up to 50 miles away.
Winegard National Sales Manager Grant Whipple said, “We have set a new standard for amplifier performance and the Amped is one of very few indoor dual band antennas on the market, which means consumers don’t have to miss out on a major network that other UHF-only indoor antennas may experience. Designed with our revolutionary Clear Circuit Technology, the embedded amplifier is able to amplify 100 percent of the signal at the antenna to maximize channel reception and minimize pixilation and dropouts for the best viewing experience possible, something inline amplifiers can’t achieve.”
Winegard’s groundbreaking amplifier technology lowers the noise floor to an unprecedented 1.0 dB typical, which is 200 percent to 400 percent lower than competing amplifiers. That translates to antenna performance that matches an antenna 2 to 3 times larger and provides crystal clear HDTV pictures. Winegard claims FlatWave Amped is the most technologically advanced and highest performing HD antenna of its kind on the market today.

The razor-thin FlatWave Amped measures just 13 in. by 12 in. and comes with an 18.5 ft white coaxial cable and an embedded digital amplifier that delivers the same high quality, free true HDTV picture of the original. Weighing in at just over two ounces, FlatWave Amped is black on one side and white on the other so it fits into virtually any home décor. It’s as easy to install as connecting the coaxial cable to your flat screen HD TV, hanging the Amped on a window or a wall, plugging in the energy saving USB power cable, and running a simple channel scan. It takes less than five minutes to install in any room of your home.
The FlatWave Amped picks up free TV from all the major local broadcast networks, such as ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, and PBS, plus additional networks like Qubo, ION, The CW, Universal Sports and more also including regional weather and sports that paid programming may not provide.
