Wholesale From China on EDGE For Laptop Users — Chinavasion

One of the biggest worries road warriors have is how expensive and difficult it can be to connect to the internet when they’re on the road. To solve this crisis electronics manufacturers have released a line of wholesale EDGE and 3G modems.

EDGE stands for Enhanced Data rates for GSM Evolution. Cell phone and laptop owners with EDGE capable devices can surf the internet, view streaming videos/music and download data.

EDGE has let businesspeople stay in touch with devices like smart phones and PDA’s. However, it hasn’t been possible to harness EDGE’s WAP capabilities for notebook modems.

According to Chinavasion’s PR manager, Rose Li, there used to be only one way to take advantage of the fast and relatively inexpensive download times. That was to get an expensive smart phone and then go through a lengthy and complicated ‘tethering’ process.

“Tethering was, and always will be, a risky business which is expensive to do and ties up two business tools to do the same thing,” according to Rose Li. “Thankfully wholesale mobile phone makers have come up with a way to get around that.”

Chinavasion’s Rose Li said EDGE modems and the EDGE network was head and shoulders above other wireless connection options available to laptop users as EDGE modems were easy to set up and data downloads were a fraction of the cost of traditional wireless internet plans.

“Fast, stable internet connections have never been so accessible on the road, or so affordable,” said Chinavasion’s Rose Li.
