Waterman Broadcasting Utilizes JVC ProHD Cameras for Affiliates ENG Production

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WATERMAN BROADCASTING UTILIZES JVC PROHD CAMERAS
FOR AFFILIATES ENG PRODUCTION

Wayne, NJ (January 10, 2007) — JVC Professional Products Company today
announced that Waterman Broadcasting in Fort Myers, FL is extremely pleased with
the performance of the ProHD cameras for field news acquisition for the company’s
ABC and NBC affiliate stations.

“What immediately sparked our interest was that the GY-HD100U was the first camera available to record an MPEG file to tape that could be directly ingested into our Canopus editing system,” said Dan Billings, Director of Engineering and Technology, Waterman Broadcasting. “Another key feature was the interchangeable lens, which no other camera in its class offers. The GY-HD100U is so lightweight and compact that it’s easy to take on shoots to the Bahamas or out in a hurricane. The performance is truly excellent for the cost.”

“The GY-HD100 is quickly becoming the preferred ENG camera for TV stations across the country,” said Lawrence Librach, AVP Business Development Broadcast & Entertainment for JVC Professional Products Company. “Companies like Waterman Broadcasting are realizing the camera’s ability to perform in tough conditions without sacrificing quality. Additionally, the GY-HD100 makes it easy for smaller market stations to transition from SD to HD affordably.”

Waterman Broadcasting uses the GY-HD100U to capture footage in both HD and SD and currently broadcasts in SD. Dan Billings also added that the station captures footage in HD and saves to SD because it provides them with better picture quality while saving disk storage space.

Waterman Broadcasting Corporation owns WBBH-TV (NBC) and WZVN-TV (ABC) in Fort Meyers, Florida and WVIR-TV (NBC) in Charlottesville, Virginia.
