Vidikron University Now Offers Imaging Science Foundation ISF Certification

UNION CITY, CALIFORNIA — November 4, 2004 — Vidikron, a leading designer and manufacturer of home theater video display technology, is pleased to announce that Vidikron University has been granted ISF calibration accreditation by the Imaging Science Foundation. Vidikron U graduates can now register to take the test for ISF Certification after attending the Superior Standards program, which covers ISF’s entire curriculum in addition to teaching the techniques for maximizing Vidikron product performance.

“A major goal in founding Vidikron University is to demonstrate our commitment as a business partner,” said Jim McGall, vice president of sales and marketing at Vidikron. “Superior Standards provides a comprehensive curriculum that not only makes attendees experts on creating the best possible video performance with our products, but hones their set-up techniques, including installation and now, industry-standard calibration. Qualifying our dealers for ISF testing, as well as granting them CEDIA CEUs is an affirmation of our continued dealer support.”

The Vidikron University Superior Standards curriculum includes topics to help both installers and salespeople achieve the best performance with the company’s video display technology as well as reach greater productivity in the design and sale of their home theater projects. Using Vidikron’s own state-of-the-art training facilities and a hands-on approach, installers will learn how to preserve digital video signal quality, customized picture calibration, choose the best screen size and type, and other techniques essential to maximizing home theater performance. Training for sales team members will cover effective projector set-up in showrooms, making an effective impact through demonstrations, determining the best product for each customer’s home or application, and more.

“Just as its parent company, Vidikron understands the importance of providing proper training in order to professionally deliver its products,” said Joel Silver, founder and president of the Imaging Science Foundation. “The ISF mode is the highest compliment any manufacturer can pay their dealers, and the very best way for dealers to set up the products they deliver. This is how a manufacturer formally recognizes that their dealers are an integral part of the delivery process.”

Furthermore, Vidikron shares CEDIA’s passion for setting the highest standards for designers and installers in the custom residential system industry. As part of CEDIA’s Certified Continuing Education Unit Program, Vidikron U’s Superior Standards accredited training program enables CEDIA Certified Professionals to continue to develop their industry and technical knowledge.
