Vinyl has definitely enjoyed a resurgence. In fact, Vinyl Record sales are actually on par or exceeding CD sales, depending on what source you check.
However, for vinyl to continue growing, flexible and reasonably priced playback options are needed. With that in mind, Victrola has come with both portable and home solutions that it hopes will attract more mainstream music listeners, especially those that have embraced the mobile music listening experience.

I have long maintained that frAudiophiles nearly destroyed vinyl with their anal-retentive BS. And then Crosley made it cool again to listen to records. People I call the “Crosely Kids” bought inexpensive, more than adequate turntables, many of which are PORTABLE, and began to have FUN listening to music on vinyl
Listening to music on vinyl. NOT “listening” to equipment like frAudiophiles do. The “high end” is nothing but an ass end when it comes to getting people to enjoy listening to music on vinyl or any other medium. They are hell bent on straining at a bit and swallowing the lie.
I own two ‘tables from Electrohome, as does my daughter and her family. They are very good and play back our records with ease. We enjoy listen to the soundtrack of our lives. frAudiophiles don’t enjoy jack.
I have yet to read a frAudiophile here but if asked, could easily provide several names of typists…nay…make that copy typists in the frAudiophile world from other sites and *SHUDDER* magazines. They are TYPISTS. On this site and Soundstage HiFi, there are writers. A typist bangs out the fAd copy for their ego’s sake (yes, that is exactly what it is) while a writer presents equipment as a means to an end but also a means of pride of ownership. And no, something need not be usurious in price to be worthy of being bought and used.
If beings such as those I am not mentioning continue in their canard spewing ways, they may well turn the Crosley Kids off vinyl. Because they are full of themselves. Full of poop. Me?
I listen to music on a variety of equipment I do NOT flower my thoughts on said equipment about “pace” (that is so ambiguously stupid a term), rhythm or what ever other BS these creatures care to use when fertilizing their crock pot of fAd copy.
In all ways and for always, be well sir.
