Morgan Hill, CA (September 24, 2007) — The MicroVee, Velodyne’s newest subwoofer featuring an incredibly small 9″ cube footprint with huge bass performance, won two awards at the recent CEDIA show held in Denver. The awards were presented at CEDIA from Electronic House Magazine and Custom Retailer Magazine.

The MicroVee was named “2007 Product of the Year” by Electronic House Magazine. Winning products were selected by the magazine editors based on product demos, installer feedback, technological innovation and overall value. The winning products are featured in the September issue of Electronic House Magazine.

Custom Retailer Magazine awarded the MicroVee the Excite Award, which recognizes excellence in custom installation and technology. The Excite Awards pay tribute each year to products that best exemplify the excitement and growth of the custom installation and consumer electronics industries.

“We are honored to receive these accolades, which demonstrates the commitment of Velodyne, as a leader in subwoofer design and technology, to providing best-of-breed solutions for the custom installation and retail markets,” said Bruce Hall, president of Velodyne. “We’re especially proud of the MicroVee because it combines tiny size with large performance. Everyone we talked to at CEDIA wants one for themselves!”

The MicroVee, with a ribbed, extruded aluminum cabinet, is the smallest subwoofer Velodyne has ever made and is ideal for home theater, personal audio or gaming applications. It sports a three-driver system and features the latest generation of Velodyne’s patented Energy Recovery System (ERS) Class D amplifier supplying 2000 watts of dynamic power and 1000 watts of continuous power.
