TV One’s award winning CORIO2 technology has been used to develop an internal HD-SDI card for NEC’s Multeos Multi-Function Series and select NEC MultiSync Information Display Series large-screen LCD displays. The card installs internally versus an external converter device, which would require additional cables and power source.
“We are very excited about this new venture with NEC,” said David Barnes, president of TV One. “Our CORIO2 technology has so much flexibility and capability that can’t be found in other third-party predefined chipsets.”
The card’s compatibility with many of NEC’s award-winning products (MultiSync LCD4020, LCD4620, LCD5220, LCD6520P and LCD6520L, and Multeos M40 and M46) will be especially valuable to those in the broadcasting industry. Please note the card is not compatible with NEC’s large-screen AVT models, as these versions’ expansion slots are already occupied by a digital tuner.
“This new resourceful add-in module complements our work with TV One, which specializes in video, audio and multimedia processing equipment,” said Emily Urlich, Business Development Specialist for NEC Display Solutions. “The card is a unique alternative to those in need of a new signal solution, and it reduces unnecessary power consumption and cost.”
The HD-SDI card (SB-L007KK) will be available in May 2008 and will be featured in the TV One booth, N1725 at the 2008 National Association of Broadcasters Show in Las Vegas, NV.
