TV One Announces Creation of Chief of Technology Position and New R&D Manager

TV One are pleased to announce Richard Mallett will assume the newly created position of Chief of Technology for TV One, with Robert Drake taking over as the Research & Development Manager at the European Headquarters based in Kent, UK. These movements come after the decision to refine the Company’s engineering infrastructure to further develop TV One’s proprietary CORIO2 technology.

“CORIO2 is the driving force behind TV One’s product range,” explains David Barnes, President of TV One. “It is this superior scaling technology that sets TV One apart from other manufacturers in the field and in order to achieve continual development and growth of CORIO2, a purely dedicated focus is required.”

Richard Mallett has been developing video scaling technology since 1988 and after ten years of gaining a wealth of knowledge and expertise, he created CORIO technology, releasing the first ever CORIO product in 1998. He has since continued to develop this technology, ensuring that TV One remains at the forefront of the professional AV market place. Barnes explains, “It is a natural progression for the on-going success of our company to allow Richard to dedicate his time and attention to maintaining and improving the technology that has already produced award-winning products. Richard’s advancement to Chief of Technology of TV One will ensure that this kind of focus can continue well into the future.”

Taking over from Mallett as the new Research and Development Manager is TV One engineer, Robert Drake. With over 12 years experience in engineering, Drake joined TV One in 2002 and has continued to grow with the company and become a valued member of the department. “Robert Drake is a true asset to TV One,” comments Barnes. “He has the knowledge and expertise required to fulfil this role efficiently and effortlessly and I am delighted to appoint him as the new Manager of the R&D team. Both Richard and Robert will no doubt excel in their new positions and we are looking forward to more exciting years ahead for TV One.”
