Toshiba’s Digital Products Division (DPD), a division of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., today announced the Satellite X205 series designed specifically for extreme gaming. Toshiba’s new gaming notebook is DirectX 10 compatible and features NVIDIA’s new GeForce 8700M GT graphics processing unit (GPU) with up to 512MB of graphics memory and an HD DVD-ROM drive for the ultimate gaming and high-definition experience.
Starting at $1,999.99, the Satellite X205 continues Toshiba’s tradition of meeting the needs of gaming enthusiasts by providing high-end components at a reasonable price. It is also the company’s first notebook to feature the striking new Flare Carmine high-gloss lid and a built-in Webcam.

Toshiba’s new gaming notebooks are powered by the new the Intel Centrino Duo processor technology, which is made up of several high-end components, including the Intel Core™ 2 Duo T7000 Processor sequence, Mobile Intel 965 chipset and new Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN supporting draft 802.11n wireless connectivity.
