Terrestrial Digital Featured in Newsweek Article on HDTV Antennas

February 12, 2007: ST. LOUIS, MO — Terrestrial Digital President Richard Schneider is a featured source in a story about over-the-air HDTV television antennas in the February 19 issue of Newsweek, which hits newsstands on Monday.

The article discusses the rebirth of television antennas in the dawn of HDTV, as more mainstream customers begin looking to off-air reception for their HD programming.

In the article, Newsweek Senior Writer Johnnie Roberts also writes about a recent event Terrestrial Digital held in St. Louis, that gave local HDTV cable customers a free antenna with which to watch the Super Bowl in HD. Charter Communications and the local CBS affiliate (KMOV) had a carriage dispute which kept the game blocked in HD to cable viewers without an antenna.

“It was bedlam,” Schneider told Roberts, adding that there were lines out the door at the event. The antenna giveaway drew people from as far as two hours away and the antennas were given out in less than two hours.

Terrestrial Digital was featured as one of the major HDTV antenna manufacturers on the cusp of new technology and the marketing of new antennas to the mainstream audience.

Schneider started Terrestrial Digital in 2003, after becoming frustrated with the poor performance of several HDTV antennas he had tried. Schneider continues to grow the company with engineering research and product innovations.

Terrestrial Digital is a St. Louis based manufacturer and distributor of off air HDTV antennas. The company was founded by Richard Schneider, and continues to be recognized for superior products by the HDTV community.
