May 24, 2006, EUREKA, MO — No matter where you live, you’ll soon be able to enjoy the best HDTV picture with an antenna from Terrestrial Digital in 1-2 business days. That’s because Terrestrial Digital will soon have a new warehouse and distribution center in St. Louis, Missouri.
Currently all Terrestrial Digital purchases are shipped out of their sole warehouse in Southern California. As a result, orders from the eastern United States take a little longer to fulfill. The new distribution center in St. Louis is expected to trim 2-3 days off the average delivery time.
“It was basically a customer service decision for us,” Terrestrial Digital President Richard Schneider said. “With three online sales outlets and our dealer list at 120 and growing, it was time to expand in order to efficiently serve our dealers and their customers.”
According to Schneider, the new space in St. Louis will likely inventory 10,000 to 20,000 units, and will fulfill orders from dealers and online customers alike.
The addition of this warehouse space will accomplish three things for Terrestrial Digital. It will improve customer satisfaction by shortening the average delivery time. It will reduce the number of order status calls to the customer service line. And it is expected to decrease the company’s overall shipping and fulfillment costs by 20-25%.
Terrestrial Digital has seen remarkable growth in the past 2 years on the strength of their DB2 and DB4 multi-directional antennas, as well as the addition of their latest HDTV antenna, The Lacrosse. The Lacrosse was released earlier this year, and has earned praise from customers and a number of consumer technology publications for its performance and aesthetics.
