Two New Sony LCD Display Lines Designed Specifically for the Business Market

SAN DIEGO, Aug. 11, 2005 – Sony today introduced two new product lines to their award-winning StyleProa¢ and DeluxeProa¢ Series of LCD computer displays, engineered specifically for corporate, government and education markets.

The two new display lines offer multiple model configurations aimed at meeting the specific needs of the business professional while providing the best cost-effective solution. Available in two sizes – 17-inch and 19-inch, the new lines allow users to choose from more than 15 feature combinations to meet their office computing needs..

“Businesses demand multiple options and a cost-effective solution when choosing a display for their workforce,” said Robert Stevens, product marketing manager for Display Solutions at Sony Electronics. “Our new StylePro and DeluxePro Series displays deliver a wide range of options offering value and flexibility while increasing productivity.”

The Sony StylePro Series PC displays include such featured options as digital inputs and one-touch height adjustment. Standard features also include tilt and 350 degree-swivel for easy viewing, front-panel headphone jacks for convenient access to computer audio and Sony’s ErgoBrighta¢ technology for simple luminance adjustment.

The DeluxePro series PC displays include digital inputs, height adjustment and stereo speakers as standard features while also offering a switched USB hub in select models for power-users who frequently need to switch between two computer systems. The USB hub, which acts like a KVM switch, allows users to easily toggle between PCs, reducing the need for additional keyboards, mice and other peripherals.

All models feature Sony’s unique ErgoBright technology optimizing brightness for any lighting condition to help reduce eyestrain. Additionally, for color-critical applications, the DeluxePro Series displays include five gamma presets for setting the optimal tonal curve, RGB gain, and bias adjustments for accurate control of color at both high and low ends of the gray scale.

With streamlined profiles and space-efficient design, the new displays keep workspaces looking organized and clutter-free. The displays are versatile and easy to use and are compatible with both MacintoshA and PC operating systems. The StylePro display line is now available in black starting at about $315. The DeluxePro display line will be available in black in September starting at about $410.
