Sony just announced the SRS-X2 and SRS-X3 portable Bluetooth wireless speakers for up to 5 or 7 hours of music listening on-the-go, respectively. Starting at $99.99, these new models are the lowest priced in Sony’s portable wireless speakers line, which includes the SRS-X5, SRS-X7 and SRS-X9 models.
The compact SRS-X3 provides rich bass with an output power of 20 watts in a sleek “Definitive Outline” design. The geometric “Definitive Outline” design is characterized by sleek lines and smooth surfaces, allowing the wireless speakers to beautifully blend into any indoor or outdoor space while delivering high quality sound.
The SRS-X3 consists of two full range speakers and two passive radiators, allowing for rich bass in a compact size. The two passive radiators are located at the front and backside. ClearAudio+, a unique Sony digital signal processing technology, provides higher quality sound while Sound Mode delivers a wider sound stage. Users can wirelessly stream audio with Bluetooth, and connect to mobile devices seamlessly with easy One-Touch listening via Near Field Communications (NFC). With a built-in mic, the speaker can be used as a speakerphone for hands-free calling when paired with a mobile device. The built-in rechargeable battery offers up to 7 hours of playback.
The SRS-X2 (picture above) also has an output power of 20 watts, but in a smaller design with rounded edges. With easy One-touch listening, users can pair NFC-enabled devices and connect via Bluetooth. The SRS-X2 also has speakerphone capability for hands-free calling. The built-in rechargeable battery offers up to 5 hours of playback. Both models have a micro USB charge and include a USB AC adapter.
