More about Vivaz
Vivaz is based on the open Symbian (S60 5th Edition) platform, like Satio. Users can personalize their communication entertainment experience by downloading applications games and much more from PlayNow, Sony Ericsson’s popular one-stop content store. Now there’s twice the reason to submit your Symbian & Flash content! Read more.
Adobe Flash Lite 3.0 is integrated seamlessly into the Vivaz UI. The five ‘home screen’ panels first seen on Satio are extended and made more user-configurable, including the ability to select Flash Lite content such as apps, games and animations. The included Twitter app is written using Flash Lite 3.0.

Flash Lite, 3.0 introduces Flash Video (FLV) support — FLV is rendered directly by the Flash player rather than by the handset. There are also significant improvements in performance and security. Project Capuchin support means that Java code can add powerful data logic and API support to Flash content.
Vivaz has a 3.2 inch 360 x 640 pixel TFT resistive touchscreen with 16 million color depth. OpenGL ES 1.1 and 2.0 are supported for superb graphics. The 8.1 megapixel camera has 4x digital zoom and Sony Ericsson’s face and smile detection features. An 8 GB microSD card is included; up to 16GB is supported. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 802.11g and HSPA at 7.2Mbps download; naturally we include seamless integration with Facebook and Twitter.
Sony Ericsson Vivaz features the new design philosophy ‘human curvature’, first introduced with the Xperia X10, which will become a consistent feature of Sony Ericsson’s portfolio going forward. Designed to mirror the shape of the human body, and at the same time delivering a precise and compelling phone interaction, Sony Ericsson Vivaz is instantly recognisable.
Sony Ericsson Vivaz will be available in selected markets from Q1 2010 in the colours Moon Silver, Cosmic Black, Galaxy Blue and Venus Ruby.
Update (August 25, 2010)
AT&T will offer the Vivaz in Galaxy Blue or Venus Ruby for $79.99 with a two-year service agreement and after a $50.00 mail in rebate, on September 5th.
