The limited edition Sonos Ace wireless noise cancelling headphones emblazoned with Sporty & Rich logo are $449 while supplies last.

Way back in 2021, it was revealed that Sonos submitted a patent request for wireless earbuds. Although Sonos has yet to release a wireless earbud product, in 2024 they did release their first full-size wireless noise cancelling headphone product, the ACE.

With the U.S. Open Tennis Championship just around the corner, we are not surprised to learn about this new collaboration between Sonos and Sporty & Rich that attempts to appeal to those who may be in attendance at Flushing Meadows and also love to look “sporty” whilst sitting in the grandstand.

The Sonos ACE wireless headphones incorporate wireless Bluetooth, Dolby Atmos with dynamic head-tracking, aptX lossless audio, active noise cancellation (ANC), and aware mode, as well as integration with Sonos ARC and Beam soundbars via WiFi.

For those who enjoy an outdoor and/or sporty lifestyle, the ACE provides up to 30 hours of listening time on one charge depending on feature use.

For a full rundown of the Sonos ACE, refer to our previous introductory article.

Taking advantage of what the ACE has to offer music listeners, as well as its look, Sonos has partnered with fashion icon Sporty & Rich to provide music fans with a limited edition version of the Sonos ACE wireless headphones.

According to Sporty & Rich: “In the height of the tenniscore craze, premier tennis tournaments have become a cultural phenomenon and the new runway for public figures, trendsetters and tastemakers to impress with the latest styles“.

The new limited edition headphones are designed with a touch of clubhouse charm. The left earcup features the iconic Sporty & Rich crest seen across many of the brand’s premium collections.

With custom green touches throughout, the limited edition ACE headphones are a nod to Sporty & Rich’s signature “verde” color and the history of tennis originally being played on grass courts.

In addition to the visual impact of the headphones, a wrapped custom packaging sleeve is designed to mimic some of the most popular tote bags seen courtside and used by tennis players for carrying racquets, balls, and other court essentials.

Made to look and feel as good as it sounds, the Sonos Ace x Sporty & Rich Limited Edition headphones incorporate the sleek Sonos Ace design with metal accents, elegant matte finishes, and a soft interior wrapped in vegan leather that provides all-day wearing comfort.

Whether sitting courtside, tuning in from the couch, or looking to elevate your tenniscore street style heading into the fall, the Sonos Ace x Sporty & Rich Limited Edition headphones are a fashion statement that is actually practical.

Sonos and Sporty & Rich logos

From Emily Oberg, Sporty & Rich Founder: “My Sonos Ace headphones have become a wardrobe staple for me this summer,…I never leave home without them, which is why I’m so excited to partner with Sonos to introduce the Sonos Ace x Sporty & Rich Limited Edition headphones, fall’s must-have accessory offering the perfect blend of style and performance. With top-notch sound, timeless design, and all-day comfort, the Sonos Ace x Sporty & Rich Limited Edition headphones represent the epitome of elegance meets practicality – a winning combination that has been true to the core of the Sporty & Rich brand since the beginning.”

From Jordan Saxemard, Chief Marketing Officer at Sonos: “In the height of the tenniscore craze, premier tennis tournaments have become a cultural phenomenon and the new runway for public figures, trendsetters and tastemakers to impress with the latest styles,…Luxury brands have embraced the aesthetic wholeheartedly, and when we saw Emily sporting Sonos Ace headphones everywhere from the streets of Paris to tennis matches in Los Angeles, we knew we wanted to collaborate with her on creating the perfect accessory that fuses fashion and function to complete any courtside look.

Initial Impression

With the price of the Sonos ACE dropping from $449 to $399, is there a good reason to spend an extra $50 for the Sporty & Rich Limited Edition?

Other than some design highlights on the headphone exterior, different headphone case, and carry bag styling, there is no operational or feature difference between the original version offered directly by Sonos and the Limited Edition offered through Sporty & Rich.

However, we do like the look with Sporty & Rich branding, and suspect this collaboration will draw more interest from a wider, fashion conscious audience.
