Snom Announces Compatibility Between snom Phones and Cedar Point SAFARI C3 Multimedia Switching System

BERLIN, GERMANY– May 22, 2007 — snom technology AG, developer and manufacturer of Voice-over-IP (VoIP) telephones, today announced that its products have demonstrated interoperability with Cedar Point Communications’ SAFARI C3 Multimedia Switching System. The announcement indicates that SAFARI C3 and snom VoIP phones, already deployed
together in trials at leading universities, are certified to be compatible in field deployments.

The only totally integrated carrier class VoIP switch that incorporates all of the components that make up the voice switching infrastructure, SAFARI C³ simplifies the network by
providing seamless evolution to SIP-based features and multimedia applications. SAFARI C³ provides superior performance and reliability, significantly reducing capital expenditures, system integration and operations costs for cable operators offering telephony services while increasing network integrity, security and privacy.

“In this industry, compatibility is not just a value-add — it is essential,” said Michael Knieling, CFO and executive vice president of marketing and sales for snom. “Customers need their endpoints to work from day one. Now, Cedar Point’s customers can rest assured that their snom phones will not only work, but will deliver the high-quality, cost-effective solution they have come to expect.”

All snom VoIP telephones, including the 300, 320, 360 and 370, are highly configurable and easy to manage through the keypad-cursor, dedicated function keys and menus, or Web browser, and offer user-friendly features like full-programmable keys and downloadable
ringtones. snom phones offer a complete implementation of the IETF’s latest
recommendations for standards-based authentication and content security (SIP(s)/sRTP).

snom will be exhibiting in conjunction with Cedar Point’s European distributor, bridacom, at ANGA Cableworld (Hall 10.2 booth #D2 in Cologne Fairgrounds, Germany, May 22-24, 2007). Additional information on ANGA Cableworld can be found at http://www.angacable.de/html/en/home.html.
