The annual CEDIA EXPO is a great place to check out the latest home theater and custom installation products from hundreds of vendors. With thousands of new products being demonstrated this week in Denver, it’s hard to experience everything but one product that definitely makes our shortlist is the Skyworth Clarus S1, the world’s first outdoor Google TV.

The Clarus S1 is designed to elevate the outdoor entertainment experience, the durable “Full Sun” TV comes with a powerful 8-speaker 100-watt soundbar audio system.

Core TV Features
First and foremost, the Skyworth Clarus S1 is a 4K UHD LED/LCD TV with full array Mini-LED backlighting. The backlight is divided into 400+ dimming zones that support precise light and dark screen display. The S1 also supports the HDR10, HLG, and Dolby Vision HDR formats.
Ambient Brightness Adjustment is also included to compensate for various lighting conditions which are a major consideration for consumers installing an outdoor TV.
Light Output
The SKYWORTH Clarus is a “Full Sun” TV with a light output of 3,000 nits. Combined with an anti-glare screen the Clarus S1’s picture remains clear even under direct sunlight, outperforming both mainstream full and partial sun TV models on the market that may average 2,000 nits or less. The Clarus S1 can accommodate outdoor gaming or sports while poolside, deck-lounging, or just relaxing by a patio fire in the evening.
Weatherproof Construction
The Clarus S1 has a variety of built-in protection and durability features to withstand the demands of being outside for prolonged periods, including a tough, all-metal body and an extremely high tolerance for extreme temperatures. The attractively designed dustproof and waterproof enclosure boasts an IP66 rating. The set is also impact-resistant (IK10-rated Impact-resistant glass) and has a wide operating temperature of -4 degrees to 122 degrees fahrenheit.
Audio Features
The S1 comes with a soundbar that features Dolby Audio surround sound technology creating an immersive and inviting listening experience for sports, concerts, or movies. The soundbar incorporates 8 speakers supported by 100 watts of built-in amplification.
The S1 also features bi-directional Bluetooth technology so it can easily connect to mobile phones or other Bluetooth devices.
Google TV
In addition to video display and audio capabilities, the Clarus S1 also incorporates the Google TV OS which provides access to an abundance of streaming content as well as including Chromecast Built-in capability which allows direct casting of content from compatible smartphones and tablets to the TV.

With full sun and anti-glare capabilities, combined with the durability of its design, and support concert features, the Skyworth Clarus S1 is designed to be well suited for commercial use in restaurants, fitness clubs, resort locations and pools, outdoor lounges, and if desired, for residential use.
Tip: The Clarus S1 is the first of several new lifestyle TV products Skyworth has planned for the next six months. If so, then we may see them at the annual CES in January 2024.
Availability and Pricing
The Clarus S1 is now available in the U.S. and Canada through select Custom Integrators in two screen sizes, a 65-inch (USD $4,999) and a 75-inch (USD $6,999).
