SeeFile Launches The Industry’s Easiest Method of Virtually Showing, Selling and Storing Digital Images at PhotoPlus Expo
File Support Software Introduced to Photographers on Display at AAA Imaging Booth No. 652

NEW YORK, NY — PhotoPlus Expo (PPE) — October 20, 2005 — SeeFile Software, LLC, a leading Boston, MA software company for imaging workflow and data storage, introduces a new file support program at one of the most important industry events for imaging professionals, PhotoPlus Expo (PPE). SeeFile Webserver 1.7 is on display in the AAA Imaging Booth No. 652 for the length of the show, held October 20 — 22, 2005 at Jacob Javits Convention Center, in New York City.

The SeeFile Webserver is a collaborative tool for the easy capture, save, upload and download of digital images. Designed with the creative professional in mind, the software requires no conversion of an image into the usual formats –e.g., JPEG or TIF — and can be viewed on virtually any system with a web-browser. This makes it a perfect viewing platform — an easy-to-create and maintenance-free virtual “store” for professional photographers to show their portfolios and post a shoot realtime, even if the client is 3000 miles away.

“Today’s busy pro photographer doesn’t necessarily have the time or the infrastructure to build and maintain a viewing library for customers and prospects. Before SeeFile this meant working with the limitations of email attachments or awkward, sometimes costly, FTP sites. Now, we’ve made the software so easy to use that, with almost no additional effort, individual photographers can act as their own stock agency. This brand new product provides the perfect venue for showing clients, selling photos or just being able to find a specific photo in a timely manner,” Sam Bogoch, SeeFile creator and president, explains.

Unlimited Access — Total Control — Affordable
Traditional file support solutions have cost $50,000 to over $250,000 for the most elaborate. The SeeFile Webserver package, which starts under $1000, offers functionality that is truly groundbreaking at this price point and very easy to use. SeeFile allows even the most novice user to quickly organize, access and share digital files with clients, work groups and partners. The software offers an exceptionally friendly user interface for quick loading of raw files; an important feature given the hundreds, sometimes thousands, of daily digital images photographers handle. SeeFile’s exclusive Permission Matrix offers a clear and precise customization tool. It puts total control in users’ hands — including details for view, size, watermarks, presentation look, as well as for those who have and do not have permission for sharing digital images.

Visitors who stop by the AAA Imaging Booth No. 652, can experience first-hand the benefits and features of the easy-to-use SeeFile Webserver v 1.7 including:
• Controlled access to defined images and file groups — you choose what viewers see.
• An integrated search function to help those who have complete access for the ability to scan the entire image collection with ease.
• Messaging capabilities with clients concerning job status, updates or specific images.
• An easy expansion path for you to grow the system to accommodate larger workgroups and corporate configurations as needed.
• New raw capture file support to capture, save and upload digital images instantly, without any reformatting requirements.
• New “Drag and Drop Feature” — instantly uploads one or more images to the server from remote locations.
• SeeFile Webserver runs on any OSX Mac and can be viewed from all Mac, PC or other web-browser and does not require a hosted server.
• An exceptionally user-friendly interface that walks you through the process.
• Built-in cropping function via the web.
• Custom folder appearance — complete with branding images you design.
• Scripted multiple auto resolutions within a folder for superior organization.
• Sophisticated messaging system that allows annotation of individual files and folders.
• Customer customization — allows customer logo display on each screen.
• File actions menu in the browser interface — allows script copy to be applied to select images.

“For many photographers, designers and service shops, the key to success lies in showing their work on the web, and in being able to receive large files conveniently the same way,” notes Bogoch. “Our aim was to create a solution that just about any graphic arts pro could adopt and use with a minimum investment in time and dollars. SeeFile Webserver 1.7 does just this, while providing the features that allow users to go beyond just posting their work online.”

System requirements and availability
The software runs under Apple’s OS-X 1.3(Panther) operating system, and supports browser- based access from both PC’s and Macs. The product is available in four versions — Entry, Studio, Bureau and Corporate, priced at $695, $1195, $1995 and $3995 respectively. All versions include the same features and differ only in the number of username/password logins and logo displays that can be set upon the system. The entry version allows up to 10 separate logins and one logo display; the Studio version allows 25 logins and 2 different logo displays; Bureau version allows 100 logins and 10 different logo displays and the Corporate version allows unlimited logins and 10 logo displays.
