Round of Funding Allows SE2 to Commence Production of Integrated Home Theater Console
DRAPER, UTAH — July 25, 2007 — SE2 Labs has closed the deal on a round of funding with the venture capital firm Trailblazer Capital, the company announced today. The new funding will enable SE2 Labs to go into production on their revolutionary Integrated Theater Console, or ITC.
The ITC combines a state-of-the-art HD-DVD player, Hi-Def TiVo, a high-end Digital Surround Processor, high-end Class D amplifiers, an Apple Video iPod with Dock, and a top-of-the line gaming system, among many other features and components. The entire package will be contained in a single box the size of a microwave oven, and controlled by a single proprietary remote control. Completing the system’s features are patented systems for superior thermal management and noise control, maximizing the reliability and enjoyment of the product.
The ITC will radically change the way home theater setups are designed and installed. The ITC system, with all its components, comes in a box less than two feet square. All components will ship from the factory already fully installed, fully programmed, fully integrated, and fully optimized. All that will be left for the installer to do is connect the speakers, connect the TV, and turn it on, says Mike Pyle, president of SE2 Labs.
Trailblazer Capital is an early-stage venture capital fund based in Dallas, Texas. As part of the deal, SE2 Labs can tap into Trailblazer Capital’s extensive management support services and advisory board. SE2 Labs plans on using the funding to build up its management team and go into production on its first 500 units.
