With significant new design, feature and installation enhancements, Screen Research provides its dealers with the most efficiently installed, high-performance screen option yet available
Screen Research, a world-class provider of innovative projector screen solutions for the home theater and professional markets, is now shipping its Supreme 2 fixed frame screen range. Supreme 2 introduces a new rigid design, Supreme velour cover and Screen Research’s patented FastGrip™ fabric attachment system.
Available on each of Screen Research’s standard 1.78:1 and widescreen 2.35:1 screen solutions, Supreme 2 is compatible with both ClearPix2™ acoustically transparent and SolidPix™ screen fabrics, providing dealers the most versatile fixed frame projection screen solution to date. The new frame is significantly more rigid than its predecessor, completely eliminating frame distortion, even on larger screen sizes. The frame’s supreme velour finish further improves the screen’s image quality by enhancing the viewer’s perceived contrast ratio and catering to any projector overscan to display the best possible image on the screen. The overall result is a true cinematic-quality experience.
Supreme 2 fixed frames are ready to install out-of-the-box. Two types of wall-brackets are included to provide greater installation options for any viewing environment. Screen Research’s FastGrip, an ingenious, patented new fabric attachment system, provides dealers with a seamless installation process free of additional on-site labor. “FastGrip technology is a fantastic innovation,” said Bob Hobson, director of Premier Audio, an award-winning custom installation company based in the UK with offices worldwide and Screen Research distributor. “It is these kinds of time-saving ideas that we business owners crave, because ultimately time is money.”
The FastGrip system was designed by Screen Research’s team of engineers to provide a simple, fast and foolproof way for installers to attach the selected screen surface to the frame with minimal on-site labor required. Regardless of screen size, dealers can easily affix the screen fabric to the frame by snapping it into place. In installations utilizing ClearPix2 acoustically transparent screen fabrics, Screen Research has also developed an auto-tensioning FastGrip StopLight black backing attachment system that allows the backing to be easily mounted to the same FastGrip structure by using a floating fastener system to eliminate reflected light that may otherwise affect image quality.
FastGrip’s three levels of adjustment allow for any stretch in the fabric caused by multiple installations of the same screen, and ensure the screen is evenly tensioned at all times. FastGrip also provides dealers for the first time with a quick solution to replace screen fabrics should a customer desire a screen upgrade; the same Supreme 2 frame can be used. Screen Research dealers will benefit by reducing installation time, and their customers will enjoy the exceptional picture quality and performance they have come to expect from Screen Research screen solutions.
Screen Research’s Supreme 2 range of fixed frame screens provides the perfect platform for the company’s award-winning and patented THX- and ISF-certified ClearPix2 screen fabrics and the ISF-certified SolidPix fabrics. Supreme 2 screens are available in a wide range of sizes and are available now through authorized Screen Research dealers.
