Unique Unfolding Ottoman Doubles as Extra Gamer Seat and
Flexible Seating for Growing Families and A/V Systems

CEDIA EXPO, DENVER, Sept. 4, 2008 — Salamander Designs, Ltd., a leading designer and manufacturer of modern furniture, seating and mounting products for Home Theater and A/V entertainment systems, announces the availability of an ultra-practical seating product, the Jump Seat Ottoman, at CEDIA EXPO ’08.

The Jump Seat Ottoman, previewed earlier this year, has begun shipping in August to Salamander Designs’ 600-plus authorized dealers. The unique Jump Seat Ottoman unfolds to reveal a hide-away theater seat that can be used as a secondary or extra seat for watching movies or playing video games.

The Jump Seat also serves as a traditional ottoman, a cushioned surface ready to convert a comfortable seat into a luxurious feeling chaise lounge. Either way — as ottoman or seating — it works equally well with the full spectrum of Salamander Designs’ varied Home Theater seating systems.

The Jump Seat features a sturdy, patented mechanism that helps the top smoothly rise into a vertical position, revealing a padded seat and backrest. The generously sized seat is 22 inches wide x 17 inches deep, with the back rest 24 inches high. Closed, the Seat measures 31 inches wide x 24.5 inches deep x 15.25 inches high. A cup holder and a small compartment for remote controls or game controllers rest along the seat’s right-hand side. It comes supplied with a set of sturdy wood feet, and four rolling casters for mobility, providing owners with both options.

The Jump Seat is available now in black leather, and brown leather with matching microsuede interior as a stock item shippable within a week of its being ordered. In late-fall the seat will be available in many other leathers and fabrics. It will also be available in two stitching styles that match the stitching on Salamander Designs’ Home Theater seats.

Like other Salamander Designs products, the Jump Seat is constructed of premium components with exceptional attention to detail, reliability and durability. The Jump Seat in particular is another instance of how the company’s commitment to innovative design provides dealers and customers alike with new options. The Jump Seat smartly complements the company’s growing family of seating systems. It assists dealers and custom installers in providing all-in-one solutions, and in conducting more business with their established vendors.

The Jump Seat Ottoman is available now from authorized Salamander dealers at suggested retail prices beginning at $999. It can be seen with the company’s other outstanding products in Booth 1061, Colorado Convention Center, during the show.
