Union City, CA — April 10, 2007 — Runco International, Inc., the leader in home video display technology, launches its broad new lineup of high altitude capable plasmas. Runco’s six new models, including three CinemaWall and three PlasmaWall additions, are rated for use up to 9000 ft MSL (mean sea level), the perfect flat panel solutions for the high-end enthusiasts.
Runco’s new high altitude plasma displays compliment the company’s recently introduced lineup of CinemaWall and PlasmaWall portfolio. Each plasma, bearing the “xa” designation, shares all features and specifications with its corresponding non-“xa” model, in addition to their high altitude capabilities, to display high definition content with rich colors, excellent contrast, and deep black levels.
Runco’s16:9 (1024×768, 1365×768, and 1365×768) CinemaWall portfolio, SP-42xa, SP-50xa and SP-60xa, and PlasmaWall portfolio, SP-42DHDxa, SP-50DHDxa and SP-60DHDxa, are designed to meet any high altitude application by offering a full range of screen sizes (42, 50, and 60-inches, respectively). The high performance displays join the company’s previously announced 65-inch, 1080p XP-65DHDxa, incorporating Runco’s advanced engineering and technology to produce stunning video imagery anywhere a plasma display is preferred.
Each PlasmaWall model features the latest generation of Runco’s DHD Digital High Definition Video Controller/Processor with advanced Vivix II processing external modular controller. Runco’s proprietary Vivix II processing reproduces stunning video imagery which improves high definition material, elevating standard NTSC material (such as cable or satellite) to near HD quality, preserves a pure digital signal path from input to output, and provides greater flexibility in installation and integration with rack placement. Likewise, the CinemaWall models feature Runco’s integrated Vivix II processing.
Sporting a high-gloss black frame and measuring 4-inches the plasma displays can be easily placed on a desktop or mounted on a wall or ceiling. Each offers a wide array of input and output selections, including: RGB, DVI with HDCP, Composite S-video, HD, DVI Video, RS-232, as well as five audio inputs. Each model also achieved ISF (Imaging Science Foundation) certification for day and night settings.
All high-altitude models of Runco’s CinemaWall and PlasmaWall displays are now shipping.
