With three additions to each of the PlasmaWall and CinemaWall lineups, Runco expands its flat-panel selection; incorporating the latest in HD technology.
Union City, CA — November 29, 2006 — Runco International, the leaders in home video display and technology, has announced six new plasmas to the company’s flat-panel portfolio. Runco’s new SP-42, SP-42DHD, SP-50, SP-50DHD, SP-60, and SP-60DHD join the company’s high-performance PlasmaWall and CinemaWall line-ups; bringing flat panel versatility, convenience, and style to rooms of distinction.
The perfect display solution when projection is not an option or high ambient light conditions exist, Runco’s new plasmas reproduce uncompromised picture quality in even the most challenging environments. Featuring rich colors, excellent contrast, deep black levels and high levels of brightness without the visual artifacts that have become synonymous with typical video processing, the 16:9 (1024×768 and 1365×768) displays, incorporate advanced engineering and technology to produce stunning video imagery.
Joining the company’s highly-acclaimed PlasmaWall family, the new SP-42DHD, SP-50DHD and SP-60DHD feature the latest generation of Runco’s DHD Digital High Definition Video Controller/Processor with advanced Vivix II processing external modular controller. Proprietary Vivix II processing reproduces stunning video imagery which not only improves high definition material, but elevates standard NTSC material (such as cable or satellite) to near HD quality, preserves a pure digital signal path from input to output, and provides greater flexibility in installation and integration with rack placement.
Designed to deliver the ultimate in DVD movies or HD widescreen viewing within a plasma display, the CinemaWall line-up, including the SP-42, SP-50 and SP-60, also feature the latest generation of Runco’s plasma technology and advanced integrated Vivix II processing. Like Runco’s award-winning projectors and always ensuring the highest caliber of imagery and industry video standards, Runco’s new plasmas achieve ISF (Imaging Science Foundation) certification for day and night settings.
Sporting a high-gloss black frame and crystal picture quality, Runco plasmas demand attention as the centerpiece of any room. To seamlessly integrate with other components, these plasmas offer a wide array of input and output selections, including: RGB, DVI with HDCP, Composite S-video, HD, DVI Video, RS-232, as well as five audio inputs. Measuring merely 4-inches thick, the six new video displays can be mounted on a wall or ceiling – or placed on a desktop.
Every model is available and will be shipping by the end of November.
