RTI Avails TheaterTouch Designer Software 3.0 to Dealers

CHANHASSEN, MINN. — May 27, 2005 — Taking another stride to better support its network of installing dealers, Remote Technologies Inc (RTI), the leader in innovative home control solutions, is making available to all its dealers a new and improved 3.0 version of its TheaterTouch Designer Software program. This new software will enable RTI dealers to program all their current RTI products (the T1, T2+, T3, U1 controllers and the RP-6 remote processor) with one comprehensive software package. A notable advantage of the RTI line is its uniformity of software protocol. Over the years, the simplicity of a single software umbrella has gone a long way to help all RTI installing dealers to manage their remote control systems with ease.

“In keeping with the rapid pace that our innovative engineers have set in developing great new products such as the T3 and the U1, we need to be vigilant in updating our software capacity and provide our dealers with proper IR support,” said Pete Baker, director of sales at RTI. “That is why we have recently added 500 new codes to our IR Code Library, and now we are upgrading our TheaterTouch Designer Software program. Dealers who are familiar with our 2.0 program will notice quite a big leap in the functionality in version 3.0. It’s the most up-to-date and user-friendly software of its kind, with a lot more bells and whistles that will help our dealers to bring more value to their customization projects.”

Some of TheaterTouch Designer 3.0’s highlights include the ability to create color bitmaps for the T3 and U1 controllers, program multiple RP-6 processors for one system, and attach .WAV audio files for the T3.

The 3.0 software is available immediately. Installers can log onto www.rticorp.com/downloads < http://www.rticorp.com/downloads> and follow the simple downloading instructions. The new 3.0 program will run on Windows 98 Second Edition, Windows Me, Windows 2000, Windows XP or higher operating system. It requires 64MB of RAM and 100MB of free hard disk space, and a 16-bit color display.
