RTcom USA Announces Ground-Breaking Digital Matrix Routers Ideal for Custom Electronics Installation

Denver – (September 4, 2008) — RTcom USA Inc., provider of digital connectivity solutions for professional and consumer audio-visual and personal computer systems, today announced to the custom electronics installation industry, the HS-66M and HS-88M — the industry’s first high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) matrix routers with six in/six out and eight in/eight out ports, respectively. RTcom USA also announced the DS-66HM, a high-performance digital video interface (DVI) router with six in/six out ports, differentiating it from conventional DVI matrixes.

All three new matrix routers feature full HDCP (High bandwidth Digital Content Protection) compliance, giving users the ability to transmit high-definition audio and video signals to as many as eight displays.

With the HS-66M, HS-88M and DS-66HM Matrix Routers, DVI and HDMI signals from audio-visual products — such as A/V receivers, laptops, and other devices for business users, or satellite set top boxes, Blu-ray disc players, and more for consumers — can be sent simultaneously to up to eight different displays without degradation in signals. All three Matrix Routers’ HDCP compatibility alleviates the problem of HDCP encoding, which previously blocked signals from being transmitted from audio-visual products to multiple displays.

“Our philosophy at RTcom is to provide high-quality, cutting-edge products to professional home electronics integrators and their clients,” said Joon Ryu, president of RTcom USA. “The DS-66HM, HS-66M and HS-88M Matrix Routers are indicative of this philosophy. We developed the industry-first six source input/output router; however, since we continually strive to be innovators in the digital connectivity market, we couldn’t stop at just six.”

The HS-66M Matrix Router:

•Multiple switching modes allow any of up to 6 sources to be sent to any of 6 display devices.
•Control options include RS-232C, LAN (TCP/IP), infrared or front panel keys
•Resolution support HDTV signal up to 1080p@60Hz with 36 bit color depth
•HDCP compliance at all output channels
•Compliance to HDMI V1.3
•Increased single-link bandwidth to 225 MHz
•Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio streams
•Built-in Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) read function, with Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory (EEPROM), to save display EDID data while supporting any HDTV with maximum resolutions. The unit also supports user setup of non-Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA) resolutions, including projectors with unique resolutions.
•Built-in noise protection circuits in each input and output port
•Better control of the home theater system by providing compatibility with A/V receiver

The HS-88M Matrix Router:

•Multiple switching modes allow any of up to 8 sources to be sent to any of 8 display devices
