Boosted Rail Technology (BRT) Design Allows for the Ultra Compact, Ultra Efficient Amps to Provide Big Power for Audio Systems that Require Little Space
Rockford Fosgate announced the 300-Watt PBR300X2 2-channel and the 500-Watt PBR500X1 mono block car amplifiers to their Punch BRT amplifier line.
“The PBR300X2 and the PBR500X1 Punch amplifiers have been designed for systems that require little space,” explained Theresa Hephner, Rockford senior director, products and marketing. “Our patented BRT (Boosted Rail Technology) is an ultra efficient design that doesn’t use a switching power supply to generate its rated power, which allows for a smaller chassis. The BRT also has a variable hi-level DC offset turn-on circuit for easy installation into any OEM system. It’s great for smaller stealth installations, as well as for motorcycles and recreational vehicles.”
Price and Availability
The Rockford Fosgate PBR300X2 and PBR500X1 will be available March 2012. They join the PBR300X4 and PBR300X1.
