Realm Introduces Flat Subwoofer

Oxnard, Calif., (January 21, 2008) — REALM, an audio company dedicated to high-end components designed for discriminating consumers, announced it has developed a new flat low frequency transducer.

The company, debuted at the 2007 Consumer Electronics Show, is committed to pursuing a new standard of automotive audio, offering high-end audio components with an emphasis on sound quality. The new flat subwoofer is the newest addition to its product line designed to provide maximum low bass extension when conventional woofers can’t be fit into an application.

“The launch of REALM was embraced by the aftermarket community,” said Kas Alves, vice president, sales and marketing, REALM. “Our commitment to sound quality, quality designs and outstanding performance are paramount to the success of the brand. Our new flat sub offers unique installation capabilities without compromising the audiophile grade sound REALM was designed around.”

REALM low frequency transducers are optimized for modest sized enclosures without sacrificing low extension. The flat design was a natural addition for the REALM line. The flat 12″ subwoofer (#LFT12-D4F) offers the deep bass sound of a full-sized low frequency transducer in a compact design. Less than half the depth of a typical subwoofer in its class, the LFT12-D4F has a mounting depth of only 2.87″ and handles 600 watts max and 300 watts RMS power through dual 4-ohm voice coils.

Designed to fit virtually anywhere, the REALM flat subwoofer is ideal for installations underneath or behind a seat or in a small trunk. REALM engineers to exacting specifications and utilizes superior materials to ensure flawless output and extreme durability. The LFT12-D4F will retail at $299.99 and will be available late Spring at specialty retailers across the United States.
