Utah-based RBH Sound has a reputation for making high performance loudspeakers, but they have outdone themselves with their new Unrivaled 21-SF/R 21-inch subwoofer. This subwoofer is not only big but carries a $12,000 price tag. Still interested? Let’s see what it has to offer.
Overview
The RBH Sound Unrivaled 21-SF/R utilizes a 21-inch driver, designed exclusively for RBH by Pierce Audio. Pierce Audio has built subwoofers and precision hand-made speaker drivers in the Pacific Northwest since 2004.
The UNR 21-SF/R is a passive subwoofer that incorporates a sealed enclosure design with a 21-inch high-performance carbon fiber cone, magnetic grille, black textured finish and weighs 333 lbs.
The UNR 21-SF/R is designed to push the boundaries of what RBH Sound currently offers. The carbon fiber cone falls in line with the design philosophy of RBH Sound products, providing a rigid and lightweight cone material for fast and accurate reproductions of their given frequency range.
RBH has also included its G.A.D.S. (granular acoustic damping system) technology to add needed damping and rigidity to balance with the power of the 21-inch driver creating an inert cabinet that allows the 21-inch driver to move a lot of air.
To power the subwoofer, RBH recommends the DA-2602DSP subwoofer amplifier which provides the power to properly drive the UNRIVALED 21-SF/R. With 4,000 watts of power available in bridged mode and 30 bands of parametric EQ on board, the DA-2602DSP and the UNRIVALED 21-SF/R pair are designed to be the perfect match.

DA-2602DSP Subwoofer Amplifier
In order to drive the Unrivaled 21-SF/R RBH recommends its external dedicated DA-2602DSP subwoofer amplifier which is optimized for its subwoofer products.
The DA-2602DSP provides the power to deliver deep accurate bass for music or home theater systems. This amplifier also incorporates parametric EQ and shelving filters that allow users to custom-tune the bass to match their room’s characters. The heavy-duty power supply and Class D output stages provide enough power to drive the most demanding subwoofer.
