CES ’07, LAS VEGAS, Jan. 8, 2007 — Proton Electronic Industrial Co., a leading designer, manufacturer and marketer of high-quality, superbly engineered digital TVs, LCD TVs and HDTV products, introduces three stylish new High-Definition LCD Televisions boasting superior picture quality and the company’s exclusive Puriti video enhancement technology at the 2007 International Consumer Electronics Show, beginning here today.
The new P42D4, P37D4, and P32D4 LCD TVs feature 42-, 37- and 32-inch widescreen displays, respectively, excellent 720p resolution, and HDMI inputs. Designed as a core line series of high-definition models, they live up to Proton’s high standards for picture quality, delivering vivid, accurate colors with pure blacks and whites, true-to-life flesh tones, rich contrasts, and a broad viewing stage.
The sets are also equipped with the sixth generation of Proton’s exclusive Puriti video enhancement technology. Puriti-enhanced LCDs possess a wider color range than conventional LCD or CRT displays. A built-in artificial intelligence system analyzes color frequencies and intensity to assure the screen displays the most natural skin tones and the best blacks by compensating for picture detail lost to poor contrast.
Puriti processing converts analog signals to a pure digital format, while filtering out noise artifacts. It delivers extraordinarily broad horizontal and vertical viewing angles of 176 degrees, enabling viewers to enjoy a crisp, clear picture while sitting almost anywhere. Puriti’s 3D De-interlacing and Edge Enhancement capabilities eliminate jagged edges from interlaced video formats, providing smooth edges for moving objects. Its speedy refresh rate empowers LCD panels with the fastest response time in the industry, virtually eliminating delay or ghosting effects.
Energy efficient, Puriti processing also delivers the brightest LCD images in the market producing vivid colors even in brightly lit rooms, and extremely high contrast ratios for rich color representation. Additional Puriti features include a Motion Lagging Correction Engine for seamless screen action, 3D Color Management, 3-2 Pull Down to accurately convert and display content originally shot for film, and adjustable color temperature.
The TVs boast a high-gloss, piano-quality finish that complements any environment, and a pair of 30-watt/channel speakers enhanced by Proton’s RealAcoustic audio technology. The speakers include 5-inch woofers and 1.5-inch tweeters, and are augmented by a class A/B amplifier. The stylish sets offer dealers and consumers the benefits of a visceral, visual viewing experience that stands above the rest.
Proton’s 42, 37- and 32-inch P42D4, P37D4, and P32D4 LCD TVs are available now from authorized Proton dealers at suggested prices of $1,599, $1,299 and $999, respectively. They can be seen with Proton’s other outstanding LCD TVs in Booth 21926, South Hall 1, Las Vegas Convention Center, during the show.
