projectiondesign F35 DLP Projector

Features WQXGA (2,560 x 1,600) resolution

projectiondesign’s new F35 series DLP projector has a resolution of WQXGA that features 78% more pixels than WUXGA resolution (1,920 x 1,200), and offers more than five times the resolution of a standard XGA display. The result is incredibly high pixel-density displays which require fewer projectors to produce ultra-realistic images, with a sharpness and clarity unmatched by other display solutions.

“Bringing this new, ultra-high resolution imaging to market will increase efficiencies, reduce installation complexities, and provide a better return on investment for users,” says Anders Lokke, International Marketing & Communications Manager, projectiondesign. “For the same number of channels you now get more pixels, and that is of great benefit in applications such as visualization and simulation, where the emphasis is on fine detail and the accurate rendering of images.”

Commenting on the F35, Roger Carver, manager of DLP’s front projector business at Texas Instruments, says: “We are delighted that projectiondesign has deployed the WQXGA chip in a projector as innovative and as striking as the F35. This is not the first time that we have provided our technology to this innovative company to launch into the market. We see this introduction as a major step forward in technology and it is really satisfying to see this ultra-high resolution being exploited by projectiondesign in such an effective and imaginative way.”

The F35 will be available to the market in Q3 2010, and projectiondesign is previewing the F35 at InfoComm to enable systems integration and end-user communities to see its potential and plan their future projects and investments accordingly.

The last word goes to Texas Instruments’ Carver who concludes: “We see the company not just as a customer but as a truly innovative partner that contributes very significantly to the development of DLP products. And we believe that everyone who sees the F35 in action will see exactly what we mean — it really is a stunning technological achievement.”
