First Portable Multimedia Player with 7″ Indoor/Outdoor Screen
Stores Up to 25 Movies or 4,500 Songs for Audio/Video on the Go
Pixa’s New MP-707 Player Goes to the Park, Beach and Beyond

LAS VEGAS (2005 International CES, January 6, 2005, South Hall 2 #25427) — Pixa, Inc., is raising the bar in on-the-go entertainment with the new Pixa MP-707 7″ Portable Multimedia Player — the first full-color fun box that stores up to 25 movies or 4,500 songs and comes with a high-brightness screen for use either inside or outdoors.

With the MP-707, consumers get both a music player and a mini-movie theater in one compact package with an industrial-strength 20 GB hard drive. MP3 tunes, Windows Media Audio (WMA) songs or MPEG-4 movies can be downloaded from a PC using the software and USB cable provided. Video files can also be transferred from a DVD player with the product’s AV cable.

The 7″ LCD display delivers 720 x 480 resolution with a 170-degree viewing angle and a 400 Nits screen that makes it possible to watch at the park or beach as well as indoors.

The on-board Li-polymer battery delivers 12 hours of MP3 playtime or up to 3 hours of video — enough to watch even an extra-long movie like “Braveheart” or “The Godfather.” The player can also be used as a voice recorder and/or hooked up to a TV or projector with a standard composite AV connector and 3.5mm AV jack. With these features, for example, a business traveler can store a video presentation on the player, connect to a projector to show it, and record the audio for later reference.

In addition, the device can be used to view JPEG, GIF or BMP images, and DivX, WMV and Apple Quick Time as well as MPEG-4 video files.

The product weighs roughly 20 ounces, is smaller than a paperback book, is compatible with Windows XP, and can be recharged simply by plugging in the adapter provided with the package. It comes with a stand, carrying case, earphones, DC adapter, mini-USB cable, and AV input and output cables.

Pricing and Availability
The Pixa MP-707 7″ Portable Multimedia Player is available online from Pixa at www.pixainc.com for $499.
