PX Displays Feature up to 82 Percent More Workspace than Standard 19″ Monitor to Help Boost Performance and Productivity
Planar Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:PLNR), a worldwide leader in specialty display solutions, today announced the addition of three widescreen LCD desktop monitors to its award-winning PX product line. The new 26-, 24- and 22-inch PX widescreen displays increase productivity and performance by providing up to 82 percent more screen space than a standard 4:3 19-inch display. Building on Planar’s strategy to deliver high-performance reliable offerings, this new line helps provide the functionality and support Planar customers require to improve their productivity.
Planar’s new displays were developed to sustain high-end graphics and other demanding applications required by specific specialty markets, such as graphic design, video editing and computer-assisted design manufacturing (CAD/CAM), finance, advertising and marketing professionals. Widescreen displays, such as the PX line, are capable of displaying multiple application windows, Web pages, or documents simultaneously, which limits the time spent switching between windows and programs.
“Investing in a widescreen monitor makes good business sense — it eliminates the cost and need of a two-monitor setup and streamlines workflow, enabling users to succeed in competitive environments,” said Mark A. Ceciliani, vice president and general manager, commercial business unit at Planar Systems. “By combining Planar’s rich history in the display industry and our top-of-the-line warranty policy, we are delivering solutions that enable customers to better support daily business functions with fewer interruptions.”
Ideal for small- to medium-sized business, education and government applications with high levels of multitasking, Planar’s new widescreen PX monitors are capable of displaying two full pages, side-by-side, with the toolbars and software palettes customers require for maximum productivity. Planar’s PX displays also support the latest operating systems, which are increasingly moving to a widescreen format. In addition, these monitors can be bundled with a widescreen laptop for seamless support and a more user friendly display.
The largest vocational school in Ohio, Miami Valley Career Technology Center, recently enhanced both its AutoCAD and MAC labs on campus by installing PX2210MWs. “The new PX2210MW 22-inch widescreen display is ideal for education, since much of the curriculum and educational websites are now in widescreen format,” said Randy Schmidt, technology coordinator at Miami Valley Career Technology Center. “Planar’s widescreen displays increase our students’ ability to be productive during the limited time they have in the labs. Combined with unparalleled performance, easy installation and industry-leading warranty support, Planar’s new PX monitors have been an excellent addition to our learning environment.”
Planar’s PX widescreen displays are available in 26-, 24- and 22-inch formats. The monitors are offered through a variety of online and distribution partners, and are backed by Planar’s industry-leading three-year Customer First warranty, with free two-day advance replacement.
