Phase Technology Teatro Sound Bars with Spatial Field Expander

CES 2009, Venetian 30-132 — Known for its industry-leading engineering and product development team and over 50 years of loudspeaker expertise, Phase Technology has introduced the Teatro V-3.0 and Teatro PC-3.0 Sound Bar loudspeakers. Phase Technology’s Sound bars differ from other companies in that they include drivers mounted on each end that emphasize certain sound frequencies in order to produce a wider soundscape. Offering an ultra-thin design with unique mounting options, these two loudspeakers bring high performance, audiophile-grade sound to flat panel displays.

“Our new sound bars offer a true audiophile experience with a look and mount that seamlessly blends with your flat panel TV,” said Ken Hecht, Phase Technology President. “Most sound bars on the market have small speakers that aren’t much better than the speakers you’ll find in the displays themselves. The Teatro sound bars bring movie theater dynamics and levels to the front three channels of your surround system, and provide a clean, professional look with easy installation.” The Teatro’s unique level mounting system allows the user to easily adjust the tilt and height of the speaker so that it is exactly lined up with the flat panel display, even if the mounting screws aren’t perfectly parallel.

Another unique feature of the Teatro Sound Bar loudspeakers is a front panel switch that allows the user to engage Phase Technology’s EVTTM Enhanced Voice Technology circuitry in the speaker. “This circuitry increases intelligibility across voice frequencies, making it easier to understand voices in a movie or other program,” said Hecht.

Each Teatro sound bar measures 40″ wide, 7″ high and a slim 4.5″ deep. The Velocity Series V-3.0 includes 5.25″ VDT woofers and 1″ soft dome tweeters, with a satin black finish and black grille; the Premier Collection PC-3.0 provides 5.25″ RPF solid piston woofers; 1.5″ soft dome midrange and 1″ soft dome tweeters in a high gloss black finish with black grille.
