pbxnsip Releases IP PBX Software
To Support NetBorder Express
–Interoperability with Sangoma Gateway Cards Means
pbxnsip Can Offer Customers Overall IP Telephony Solutions–
TORONTO, CANADA — (November 10, 2008) — Sangoma Technologies Corporation (TSXV: STC) today announced interoperability of its NetBorder Express gateway with pbxnsip, a provider of SIP-based PBX telecommunications systems, which integrate with Intel architecture.
“By supporting Sangoma’s NetBorderTM Express VoIP Gateway Cards, which integrate with the Intel architecture-based platforms, we have further enhanced our product offering with a new overall solution for IP telephony, a segment that is posting rapid growth and attracting increasing interest from businesses worldwide,” said Kevin Moroz, COO of pbxnsip.
Reliable VoIP solutions are an important offering for providers like pbxnsip, because its customers need to save money while advancing business communications significantly. Market indicators, such as the evolution of communications platforms based on Intel architecture, suggest even small businesses are making the move to VoIP.
In the Intel Booth, 429, at VoiceCon this week, Sangoma will showcase its NetBorder Express Gateway product integrated on the Intel reference platform as one of the ideal hardware foundations for Intel architecture-based voice communication applications. The demo illustrates a Windows-based IP-PBX application from pbxnsip, running on this integrated converged platform.
“Sangoma’s NetBorder Express Gateway Cards provide customers with a ready-to-use gateway, which also easily integrates with the customers’ applications,” said Frederic Dickey, Sangoma’s Director of Product Management for the NetBorder product line.
“We can offer our resellers more value, because in the past, they had to use pricier external gateways– which can cost up to $3,000 for a single PRI/T1 connection,” said Moroz. “With Sangoma, it’s much less, about $1,200, and we can offer a one box solution, which makes configuration and management much easier. Sangoma also offers a lifetime warranty on the hardware and free support, which is hard to beat! ”
Michael Fried, CEO of Freidom Tech, an IT/VoIP integrator, recently setup a phone system for a company in Howell, N.J., with 25 users. “I used pbxnsip together with a Sangoma PRI card,” said Fried. “I was extremely impressed with the level of support from both companies. Fried was able to get the system up and running in a weekend.
pbxnsip wanted to be able to support Linux and Windows all in one box. Sangoma’s award-winning telephony cards, together with this new set of software building blocks, deliver a robust pbxnsip to TDM VoIP Gateway solution. pbxnsip resellers, distributors, and end users can use NetBorder Express with their pbxnsip IP PBX to deploy future proof, stable, and secure solutions.
The NetBorder Express solution is unique, as the gateway card can reside in the same server as pbxnsip IP PBX software. Also, the installer, configuration, and management interfaces can easily be integrated to deliver a single, tightly-coupled solution, as an alternative to pbxnsip and an external media gateway.
