Paradigm Electronics Inc. announced the new MilleniaOne bookshelf/satellite speaker. With the ability to be used as a left, right or center, the MilleniaOne provides versatility in a compact form factor while maintaining the superb level of quality and performance associated with the Paradigm Reference line.

The MilleniaOne is designed in a compact oval cabinet and ships with a small bookshelf stand, minimizing its footprint. It can be easily incorporated into any room environment for optimal enjoyment of movies, music and television. With both white and black gloss finishes and a uniquely shaped shell, the MilleniaOne satellite speakers are ideal in rooms where space is at a premium or where a modern “minimalist” look is sought. Using critical cabinet alignment, engineers carefully crafted the MilleniaOne to showcase the high performance and technological advancements synonymous with the Reference line.

Paradigm's die-cast aluminum enclosures provide superior rigidity while maintaining a thinner wall and acting as a heatsink for drivers and crossover components. The die-casting process also allows for a beautifully sculpted enclosure, a change from the standard rectangular box. The MilleniaOne uses an S-PAL tweeter dome with silver finish to match the cone and the tweeter motor employs neodymium magnets and extruded aluminum heatsinks.

The MilleniaOne bookshelf/satellite speaker will be sold as a left/right pair or as a five piece system (including horizontal center speaker). Add-on the soon-to-be-released MilleniaSub subwoofer and you have a 5.1 Reference quality compact home theater system.

Additional specifications for the MilleniaOne include:

  • 2-driver, 2-way vented box with die-cast Aluminum enclosure
  • 3rd-order electro-acoustic at 2.2 kHz
  • 25-mm (1 in) Aluminum dome high frequency driver and 155 mm (4.5 in) Aluminum cone bass / midrange driver
  • 76 Hz (DIN) low frequency extension
  • Suitable amplifier power range of 15-100 Watts
  • Maximum input power of 50 Watts
  • Compatible with 8 ohms
  • H X W X D = 7.7″ x 4.5″ x 5.7″

Price and Availability
The MilleniaOne satellite speakers have an expected MSRP of $249 each and will be sold as a pair or part of a MilleniaOne five piece system. The MilleniaOne system will be available early October.
