Panasonic just announced the 16-megapixel Lumix DMC-TS25, the little brother to the DMC-TS5, for everyday usage and less extreme adventurers. The TS25 is waterproof to a depth of 23 feet (7m), shockproof from a height of 5 feet and freeze proof down to a temperature of 14 degrees Fahrenheit. Users can also take advantage of MEGA O.I.S with Active Mode to reduce motion blur and Creative Control’s 12 effects to make an image more impressive.
The DMC-TS25’s 2.7-inch LCD features 230K-dot Intelligent LCD. It automatically adjusts the brightness in 11 steps according to shooting conditions. In addition, the AR (anti-reflective) coating LCD minimizes glare and provides clear images, for high visibility even in outdoor brightness.
The Red Color Reproduction of Advanced Underwater Mode compensates for the red color which is easily lost in underwater shooting to look underwater picture more natural. Sports, Snow and Beach & Surf Mode can also be selected easily and quickly from the menu.
The DMC-TS25 features a torch light that records beautiful videos even in dusky underwater environments or at a nighttime camp. It is also possible to turn only light on to light up subject even while camera function is not activated.
