Oculus Designs Features Bulk Wire Pull Boxes

Oculus Designs, a division of The RapcoHorizon Company, a leading manufacturer of audio/video interfacing and cable equipment, is featuring its Bulk Wire Pull Boxes at CEDIA 2008 (Booth 336). The innovative pull box design, available in 500 and 1000 feet of cable, consists of an inner plastic lining that offers greater support for heavy duty speaker wires by minimizing typical abuse from regular wear and tear.

Capable of holding up to 75 pounds apiece — opposed to the usual 25 pounds — the Bulk Wire Pull Boxes provide more durability to help preserve the cable integrity and are installer friendly. Chadd James, home theater product manager for Oculus Designs , explains, “Many pull boxes are built with the wire looped within the pull box, often resulting in tangles and snags. Our Bulk Wire Pull Boxes overcome this problem through the use of an innovative plastic frame work that supports the wire positioned on the reel — resulting in a smooth glide that is gentler on the cables, as well as less harsh on the box itself.”

The RapcoHorizon Company, located in Jackson, Missouri, is one of the world’s largest manufacturers and suppliers of audio, video, home theater, data and telecommunications cable in both bulk wire and assemblies. Used worldwide by concert touring sound companies, video and sound contractors, recording studios, system integrators, audiophiles and musicians, The RapcoHorizon Company’s products provide optimal flexibility and premium performance. The company’s state-of-the-art Custom Shop can modify existing products or build new devices to meet any need.
