JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind, Aug. 19, 2005 – Service Net, LLC. has signed an agreement with Newegg.com to offer extended warranty and replacement contracts on computer, computer peripheral, and consumer-electronic products sold through the online retailer.
Newegg.com customers will have the option of purchasing replacement and extended service contracts from Jeffersonville-based Service Net on a wide range of products available through http://www.newegg.com, including PCs and peripherals, stereo equipment and digital cameras. “As a leading e-marketer, Newegg.com is always looking for ways to add value to our various product lines for our customers,” said Howard Tong, Senior VP, sales and marketing. “We post detailed product information, videos, how-to’s and peer reviews of the products at the site, as well as providing opportunities for consumers to find community interaction. We see extended product warranty coverage as an important way to enhance buying appeal to our 400,000-plus daily site visitors.”
Service Net expects that Newegg.com’s high-traffic website, coupled with their excellent presentation of service offerings, will produce a very favorable response in a relatively short period of time. The agreement with Service Net provides Newegg.com with extended-service contract coverage for such products beyond the original manufacturer’s warranty. “We’re pleased to be able to provide a new value-added feature to support Newegg.com product lines,” said Jeff Oldenburg, vice president of marketing and business development for Service Net. “With Newegg.com, we’ve added yet another of the nation’s top online retailers under the Service Net umbrella.”
Newegg.com – one of the 400 most-visited Web sites in the United States and based in City of Industry, California – offers the widest product selection of information technology and consumer-electronic brands in the industry.
The fully insured and transferable Service Net service contract benefits include 24-hour/7-day customer telephone support and on-site service, where available. Additionally, Service Net will manage claims processing, service dispatch and a nationwide network of qualified technicians to perform needed service.
Newegg.com joins CDW, PC Connection, PC Mall, and Crutchfield as some of the nation’s largest technology products retailers and resellers to have contracted with Service Net to provide warranty and service administration.
