Alienware Expands Mobile Product Line with New Notebook Systems

MIAMI – New 17″ Area-51 m5700 and 15.4″ Area-51 m5500 Notebooks Deliver Impressive Balance of Power and Portability

Alienware — the leading manufacturer of high-performance desktop, notebook, media center, server and professional systems — has expanded its award-winning notebook line by introducing two new mobile systems featuring Intel Centrino mobile technology: the Area-51 m5700 and the Area-51 m5500. Offering NVIDIA GeForce™ Go 6800 graphics, dual SATA hard drives in RAID configurations, and Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition, the Area-51 m5700 represents a terrific platform for running demanding games and multimedia applications on the go. The Area-51 m5700 also showcases a 17″ wide-screen LCD with ClearView technology that provides users with ample workspace and a crystal-clear display.

The Area-51 m5500 balances the capabilities of high-performance mobile graphics, Intel Centrino mobile technology, and DDR2 Alienware-qualified memory with a highly mobile design that weighs 6 lbs and features a 15.4″ wide-screen LCD. In addition, the Area-51 m5500 features a new Alienware innovation, Graphics Control Technology, giving customers the flexibility of switching between the advanced capabilities of graphic solutions like the NVIDIA GeForce Go 6600 and Intel Media Graphics Accelerator depending on performance and battery needs.
