LAS VEGAS, NV — January 6, 2005 — NetStreams, the IP-based Audio Distribution Company, announced that it is making available a new, special edition keypad for its award-winning Musica 4602 Audio Distribution System. The company, which was first to integrate an FM Tuner into a distributed audio in-wall keypad, now offers that model with blue and fluorescent white backlighting (model
# MU4602KP50FMS). The new special edition, which is available exclusively at AVAD distribution centers nationwide, provides additional decorative options to the amber- and green-colored lighting of the standard Musica keypads.
“The new special edition blue and white backlit keypad gives installers even more versatility from the Musica system, which has been recognized for providing installers and homeowners with high-quality sound and unparalleled simplicity of control,” said Herman Cardenas, CEO of NetStreams. “Custom integrators now have four varieties of in-wall keypad to choose from when installing the Musica system, which gives them great flexibility in matching features and performance to customers’ specific needs and preferences. The new backlighting is another way NetStreams is giving custom installers a highly flexible solution to providing homeowners a customizable, reliable, and satisfying solution to enjoying clear and powerful sound in rooms throughout their homes.”
With the addition of the blue- and white-colored keypads, dealers can now choose from: the 25W, 50W, 50W with the FM Tuner, and 50W with FM Tuner and premium backlighting. By incorporating the FM Tuner keypad in their Musica system, users can listen to a fifth source in that keypad’s zone in addition to the four sources that the system can distribute to all zones.
The Musica NS-MU4602 Audio Distribution System is an easy-to-install and easy-to-operate audio distribution system capable of playing up to four different sources independently and distributing them to as many as six rooms (expandable to 18). In addition, you can distribute up to 6 separate local sources (XM, CD player, Cassette tape player, tuner, auxiliary input, etc.) to all six rooms. Users can listen to different sources at the same time in each room. Compensating gain adjustments at the inputs insure that all sources are distributed at equal levels.
Each room is controlled from a simple yet elegant keypad, which uses a mini-wide-screen LCD graphic display to clearly depict system status. The LCD allows for monitoring sources as they apply to that room, as well as to the other rooms in the system. An IR remote may also be used to control the system.
One of the distinguishing differences about the Musica system design is that the amplifiers for each room are located within that room as an integral part of the in-wall keypad. Most other systems amplify audio signals for all the rooms using a central, multi-channel amp located near the source equipment. This generates unwanted heat near delicate source components and can substantially degrade audio quality. NetStreams’ keypad amplifiers maintain rich and powerful audio quality by enhancing sound just before it’s broadcast from speakers.
