La Mesa, CA – Neothings, Inc., a developer and manufacturer of home theater switching and routing equipment, announced today it’s entrance into the home theater market. The company’s first product line is the Avalon series switch, and component video and digital audio matrix switch.

“We are very excited to reach this milestone with Neothings, as there has been a lot of work done up to this point. ” states Bill Paul, CEO of Neothings, Inc. “Now that we are in the manufacturing phase of our product roll-out, we have a moment to catch our breath and tell the world about our new company and our new products.”

Neothings was started earlier this year with the goal of creating audio / video switching and routing products specifically built for home theater enthusiasts and custom system integrators. Home theater customers typically need products features that mass market manufacturers aren’t willing to include, so Neothings focus has been on performance and features rather than price. In addition Custom Integrators that are tired of hassles when trying to control regular consumer equipment will breathe a sigh of relief with the many control options and simple operation of the Neothings Integrator line of equipment.

The first product offering from Neothings is the Avalon switch. “Avalon is a component video (aka YPbPr) and digital audio matrix switch system. It will be offered as a 6×2 and an 8×4. It is a true matrix, so each output is independent of the others. In addition audio and video can be switched separately.” comments Paul in his blog. He adds, “It has an attractive 2U chassis that is a real head turner”.
