All-in-One Network Audio Player, Internet Radio and AM/FM DAB/DAB+ Tuner
NAD announced the C 446 Digital Media Player, enabling music lovers to network and stream popular digital formats from their computer, Android phone, Apple iOS device, or network hard drive, while providing high quality Internet radio, FM/AM, and DAB/DAB+ (where available).
NAD's C 446 Digital Media Player offers the latest technology in digital media networking, supporting all the popular digital formats – MP3, FLAC, WMA, WAV, and AAC. Aside from music stored on networked-devices, the C 446 seamlessly allows the listener to enjoy Internet radio, FM/AM, and DAB/DAB+, with improved audio quality in comparison to other radios. With 24bit/192kHz DAC audiophile quality and high performance analogue audio circuitry, the music enthusiast is able to enjoy quality reproduction of their music collection.
The C 446 is able to stream music collections from all networked devices using Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) and Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) standards. The UPnP Digital Audio Renderer (DAR) technology allows the user to browse, create playlists, and change songs from anywhere in the home using a range of network devices.
The C 446 outperforms broadcast quality radio and improves the sound quality of DAB/DAB+ digital broadcasts. Through finely tuned radio (RF) and intermediate (IF) frequency, the user is provided with improved audio quality while listening to FM/AM radio broadcasts. The C 446 also allows the user to decode analogue FM/AM as SPDIF digital output, and likewise, listen to digital formats in a quality analogue output.
The C 446's additional features include USB playback, Wi-Fi, a user- friendly Internet radio portal, support for cloud music services and an RS-232 serial interface port, which allows for easy integration with advanced home automation systems. In addition, you can control and charge your iPod or iPhone by adding the optional, IPD 2 Dock, for iPod.
