MUSICGIANTS’ HIGH-DEFINITION MUSIC DOWNLOADS AVAILABLE WITH AUDIO DESIGN ASSOCIATES’ iHOME MULTI-CENTER
Provides Highest Sound Quality Downloads From Major and Independent Labels Utilizing Microsoft Windows Media Technology
INCLINE VILLAGE, NV; March 29, 2006 – MusicGiants, a leader in high-fidelity music downloads, today announced an agreement to provide the MusicGiants Network as part of the award winning iHome Multi-Center from Audio Design Associates (ADA). Purchasers of the iHome Multi-Center entertainment system will have instant access to acquire the highest sound quality music available over the Internet via the MusicGiants Network, including the digital music libraries of the four major labels.
“Combining the MusicGiants Network with ADA’s iHome Multi-Center is a perfect fit for both companies and for our customers,” said Scott Bahneman, CEO, MusicGiants. “ADA is a leader in custom installation of high-end home systems, a rapidly growing segment of the $125 billion U.S. consumer electronics industry.”
“The iHome Multi-Center is the most comprehensive music server on the market and we are pleased to be able to offer it with MusicGiants enabled software onboard,” stated Richard D. Stoerger, ADA’s vice president and COO. “Our near three-decade heritage as the founding father of custom installed electronics is based on several factors, obsolescence-free technology, ease-of-use, durability, and superior sound. With regard to sound quality, we are the recognized brand of excellence and a partnership with MusicGiants is just a natural. The difference between MusicGiants and all other music download providers is bit-rate and as such, sound quality. The combination of their services in our award-winning product is a real win-win for our customers.”
The iHome Multi-Center is a purchasing vehicle, storage and playback device for MusicGiants’ high-definition downloads, and is a Windows XP Media Center Edition PC. The device also is an IP control system, permitting networked PCs, web tablets, and PDAs to purchase music, navigate libraries, and control a single-room or a house-wide, multi-room ADA entertainment system.
“This is a great example of software, hardware and a service working seamlessly together to provide a superior customer experience. Consumers want to get the most out of their home audio equipment investment,” said Dave Fester, general manager, Windows Digital Media Division at Microsoft. “MusicGiants along with ADA is enabling this great high-def music experience in the home.”
“ADA is an exceptional example of the type of high quality system provider we will be working with to expand the reach of the MusicGiants Network, making great sound quality music available to the widest possible audience in the most convenient manner,” said Scott Bahneman, CEO, MusicGiants.
Earlier this year, MusicGiants announced that the company plans to offer 5.1 channel, high-definition Windows Media Audio files as part of its MusicGiants Network music download service later this year. The iHome Multi-Center will play MusicGiants’ 5.1 channel tracks for an exceptional music listening experience.
ADA began shipping the iHome Multi-Center in August of 2005. At the Custom Electronics Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) Expo last September, the iHome Multi-Center received the coveted “Best New Product” award.
