CHATSWORTH, CA — Easy to use, simple to install and perfect for videophiles, the multi-functioning Personal Video Recorder (PVR) from Gefen offers reliable, 24/7 access to your audio/video programs, anywhere you go.
Available in high definition (HD) and standard definition (SD) versions, the Gefen TV SD and HD PVRs deliver some bonus features you’ll find indispensable. Both enable instant, one-touch recording of audio/video from one of four sources with complete playback controls, the ability to switch between four A/V sources connected through the PVR to your main display, support for multiple A/V formats so you can easily integrate different devices with no compatibility concerns, the built-in conversion of analog A/V signals to the HDMI digital format (HD PVR only), and the ability to download selected programming, images and sound onto any USB storage device (SD PVR) or SD flash media card (HD PVR) allowing you to take your A/V with you for total mobility.
Home movies, television programming, digital photo albums, music and more can all be accessed anywhere, anytime through the downloadable, removable storage devices offered on the Gefen TV SD and HD PVRs. If on-the-road access isn’t your main concern, you can opt to download your selected A/V onto the built-in 80Gb hard drive (HD PVR only); the HD PVR is capable of recording up to 17.6 hours of programming at 1080i resolutions.
A user-friendly on-screen display menu guides you through your preferences, allowing you to easily record, retrieve and review selected programming. An IR remote gives operational access and the included IR Blaster enables you to use the Gefen TV remote as a universal method of controlling up to five A/V devices plus the PVR. Additional features include media scanning, multimedia playbacks, compression quality adjustments, picture zoom and international languages support.
The HD PVR supports Composite/S-Video and analog audio, Component video and analog audio, and two HDMI inputs with S/PDIF audio. It outputs HDCP-compliant high definition video in the HDMI format with an additional S/PDIF output.
The SD PVR supports Composite/S-Video and Component video inputs and outputs each with stereo audio.
