At the Spring 2009 Electronic House Expo, Marantz America, a world leader in advanced home entertainment solutions, will demonstrate its AV8003 Networking AV Preamp/Processor (SRP: $2,599.99), recently named a 2009 Innovations Design and Engineering Award honoree by the CEA. During the show (March 11-14), attendees will be able to experience the AV8003’s leading-edge capabilities at Booths 230A and 1302. Marantz will also display its high performance MM8003 8 Channel Power Amplifier (SRP: $2,399.99), BD8002 (SRP: $1,999.99) and BD7003 (SRP: $549.99) Blu-ray Players, and IS301 Wireless Flexible iPod Dock (SRP: $249.99), and LN-11S1 Motorized Anamorphic Lens System (SRP: $3,999.99)
Multi-Zone Processor and Controller
The Marantz AV8003 Networking A/V Preamplifier is a THX-Certified, 1080p scaling, multi-source/multi-zone processor that provides users with an easy way to distribute ultimate-quality audio and video entertainment to three separate zones within the home. Thanks to its built-in digital media player and Ethernet port, the AV8003 allows content from any DLNA compliant Server, PC or NAS device to be streamed from those devices to the AV8003, where it can then be distributed to multiple zones. Marantz’ first built-in video scaler enables enhanced video performance with upconversion and scaling to 1080p from all analog and digital sources and it features a host of today’s most advanced audio and video processing technologies, including HDMI Version 1.3a (4-in/2-out), plus Dolby True HD, dts HD Master Audio, Deep Color and more. In addition, it is HD, XM, and Sirius Radio ready (subscription and antenna required for XM and Sirius) and includes a built-in digital media player with Ethernet capability for streaming audio and video content throughout a networked home*.
MM8003: Ideal for Use With Either 7.1- or 5.1-Channel Systems
The MM8003 combines the best sonic features of past Marantz products along with new flexibility such as 8-channels, XLR input terminals, output channel relay on/off control and slow start to power-on as well as the beautiful new chassis. The MM8003 is ideal for meeting the demands of any multi-channel home theater system, including both 7.1-channel and 5.1-channel systems. (In the case of 5.1-channel systems, the additional channels may be used for “vertical bi-amping,” which provides the ultimate level of dynamics, bass response and sheer presence.) Boasting 140 watts per channel, the MM8003 will provide clean and stable power to any speaker package available.
IS301: Flexibility of Tabletop or On-Wall Placement
The IS301 system consists of a slim lightweight handset (IS301) that attaches to the user’s iPod, as well as a stylish and compact base unit (IS301DS) that’s designed for either tabletop or on-wall placement. An additional RX unit (IS301RX) provides advanced wired connection (CAT5-1/2 audio control, CAT5 — 2/2 video) to a user’s home entertainment system, featuring Analog Audio L/R output, as well as Component, S-Video, and Composite Video outputs, making it easy to use the IS301 as an expansion device. The RX unit also features both IR Flasher input and RS232C control for expandability, and it may be connected with any device that supports Bluetooth A2DP.
BD8002, BD7003: Leading Edge Blu-ray Features and Performance
Thanks to its 10-bit Silicon Optix Realta chipset, the BD8002 Blu-ray DVD player offers improved video performance with upconversion and IP scaling to 1080p. The pixel-by-pixel and Digital Noise Reduction feature afforded by this technology allows the player to remove image-degrading artifacts, resulting in absolutely clear, high-resolution images. The BD8002 also offers High Resolution HD Audio with decoding of Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby True HD and DTS-HD Master Audio and is capable of outputting both 7.1-channel analog signals and PCM audio via HDMI. Finally, in addition to its compatibility with both Blu-ray and DVD discs, the BD8002 can also handle VCDs, SVCDs, MP3s, WMA and DivX video files, and display JPEG images — making it the ideal solution for high-quality enjoyment of today’s many audio and video formats.
With its lower price point, the BD7003 Blu-ray DVD player brings a superior Marantz Blu-ray video and audio experience within reach of more consumers. Thanks to its HDMI 1.3a with Deep Color and Bonus View support, users enjoy richly detailed images and vibrant color production, with 1080p scaling from SD DVDs for additional viewing enhancement. And the BD7003’s audio capabilities are just as impressive: Once the player’s HD audio bitstream is outputted to a connected receiver in a user’s home entertainment system, the signal can then be decoded to high-performance audio formats including Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby True HD and DTS HD Master Audio. The result is dynamic sound reproduction for all home entertainment applications, including both music soundtracks and dialogue.
