Logicworks, a provider of enterprise-level managed services and hosting solutions supporting business-critical applications and content, today announced its support of the new Oracle Database 11g platform. As an Oracle Partner, Logicworks offers a broad range of domain expertise for the Oracle database platform for applications that leverage managed clustered infrastructures. Logicworks will be exhibiting Oracle Database 11g at Oracle Open World from November 11–15, 2007 at booth 220 in Moscone South, highlighting its support for Oracle 11g in high-availability configurations.

“The new Oracle Database 11g is a hotbed of features appealing to a broad market ranging from the SMB to the enterprise space,” said Shirish Ojha, Oracle Certified Master and Senior Oracle Consultant at Logicworks. “By providing support for this new platform through our Managed Database Service, customers have the ability to gain access to all of the critical features and functionality offered by Oracle in a hosted environment.”

Utilizing the new Oracle Database 11g, Logicworks’ customers can achieve improved performance, protection against system failures, assured migration to the new platform, faster patch application, and rolling upgrades to production databases. Customers can also achieve inherent data compression and encryption capabilities for both structured and unstructured data managed in transaction processing, data warehousing, and content management environments. Enhanced RAC and Data Guard help customers decrease planned or unplanned downtime, along with improved performance and reliability.

A SAS-70 Type II audited organization, Logicworks provides its customers with the highest levels of security. Supporting Oracle technology, Logicworks offers its customers access to enhanced encryption and security capabilities.

“Logicworks continues to offer its customers support for the most comprehensive and innovative database tools to run their businesses,” said Carter Burden, CEO of Logicworks. “With Oracle 11g, our customers will have access to optimal features to enhance performance and availability in a unique and supported hosted environment.” When coupled with Logicworks’ 100% SLA and “No Transactions Lost” guarantee, in addition to the 24/7 support that is a part of all of its managed hosting solutions, Logicworks provides a complete solution so that its clients can focus on their businesses, rather than database availability and infrastructure management.”
