Liberty Wire & Cable Introduces New, Improved WebBlox Installation Software

User-Friendlier WebBlox 2.0 Gives A/V Project Designers
New Features, Connections and Specification Power

Liberty Wire & Cable, worldwide supplier of a broad range of wire and cable products for the audio/video trade, including custom installers and systems integrators, introduces WebBlox 2.0, a major upgrade to its popular software program for professional audio/video project designers.

Developed for Liberty’s PanelCrafters division, WebBlox is a graphical, Web-based content management program that empowers consultants, system integrators, representatives and other wire-and-cable professionals with the transformational power of advanced computing. Like the original, WebBlox 2.0 allows users to quickly design custom wall plates and panels, convert drawings into detailed specifications and cost quotes, and graphically add connectors into wall plate layouts.

Strengthened and enhanced, the new version allows users to achieve these results more quickly and efficiently than ever, as well as design projects with a greater number of connections. Equally important, WebBlox’s capabilities have been extended to users to fully exploit Liberty’s exceptional array of plates, panels and cable assemblies, both stock and custom, with both active and passive interfaces.

Liberty custom cable assemblies combine virtually every type available, including RGB/HV, HDMI, VGA, DVI, Component Video, Toslink, Neutron Speakon, CAT5e, and more. Using WebBlox 2.0, they can be designed for any project or installation, including audio, video, broadcast, and OEM and control applications. They can also be custom designed to meet or exceed precise stranding, shielding and performance requirements, complete with PVC, plenum or low-smoke ratings.

WebBlox 2.0 provides designers access to this extraordinary level of flexibility and versatility. They can add connectors into wall plate layouts, even build their own custom cable assemblies. As before, the WebBlox user specifies a gang plate’s size and color, and adds text as needed. And as before, WebBlox users can save their design sketches into their accounts for future use, and even search Liberty’s pre-configured catalog parts to see if an off-the-shelf solution is available.

WebBlox 2.0 is available for free to qualified professionals at Liberty’s Web site, www.Libertycable.com.
