Liberty Wire & Cable Introduces DigitaLinx Digital Solution for Audio/Video Pros
New Line of Digital Repeaters, Distribution Amplifiers, Switchers and Fiber Optic Extenders, Link and Expand DVI and HDMI-Based Systems
CEDIA EXPO, Indianapolis, Sept. 9, 2005 — Liberty Wire & Cable, worldwide supplier of a broad range of wire and cable products for the audio/video trade, including custom installers and systems integrators, introduces the DigitaLinx family of digital solutions for custom installation and audio/video professionals at the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association (CEDIA) Expo 2005, beginning here today.
DigitaLinx consists of a comprehensive product line of digital repeaters, distribution amplifiers, switchers, fiber optic extenders, and DVI and HDMI cables to digitally link and connect local area, wide area, and interlinked AV environments. Liberty’s well-designed solutions are designed to keep businesses both competitive and profitable.
DigitaLinx components provide an enormous number and variety of solutions for installation and AV professionals in both residential and commercial settings who find themselves working in a world of merging technologies that are increasingly dependent on digital information. Properly handling them requires an array of digital bridging, routing, switching and media conversion components.
Key components include the DigitaLinx HDMI Repeater, which extends the length of any HDMI or DVI cable by regenerating the digital signal before it outputs to an HDMI- or DVI-equipped monitor or projector. It also connects computers with HDMI graphic cards to HDMI-compatible monitors or projectors. Available in three versions, the HDMI Repeater enables users to relocate video and computer sources to a safe, quiet or discrete location.
The DigitaLinx Distribution Amplifier allows one digital HDMI or DVI video or computer source to be split into five HDMI displays. Built-in amplification enables HDMI and DVI signal distribution without any signal loss or digital noise. With Liberty’s DVI extension cables, the amplifier can be used to extend a video source up to 2,300 feet.
The DigitaLinx HDMI Switcher allows four different digital audio/video sources to share one video display. Liberty’s unique system allows easy switching between four different digital sources using a supplied remote control or a manual switch in front. The HDMI Switcher is perfect for Home Theater systems, eliminating the hassle of manually plugging in different HDMI or DVI connecters to view different video sources, such as a DVD player, satellite TV and a PC. An LED display shows video source selections.
The unique DigitaLinx HDMI/DVI Fiber Optical Cable System lets a digital display be located as far as 330 feet from its video and audio sources, when using the HDMI or DVI standard. Liberty’s patented optical conversion technology makes the high-resolution extension (up to UXGA or 1080p) possible and noise-free. It’s ideal for Home Theaters, video walls, conference room systems, large LED displays, and numerous other applications.
Of course, DigitaLinx solutions also include a broad selection of molded HDMI and DVI cables.
All DigitaLinx components can be seen with Liberty’s other fine products at Booth 822, Indiana Convention Center, during CEDIA EXPO.
